Meet Seals and Sea Turtles at the New England Aquarium
Little Blue Penguins. Atlantic Harbor Seals. Green Sea Turtles. These are some of the oceanic creatures who call the New England Aquarium home. If you or your youngsters are curious about what goes on every day beneath the ebbing ocean waves, the New England Aquarium holds the answers.
Come to the aquarium to meet its resident animals and check out special exhibits, such as the “Science of Sharks.” This exhibit explores the massive variety of sharks that swim through waters around the globe, from Africa to Australia — more than 500 different species. Learn about the often understood animals and see some of them moving through the water right before your eyes. Nearby at the Shark and Ray Touch Tank, you can actually lay hands on smaller sharks and other sea creatures. There’s a lot more to see at the New England Aquarium, however, so you really need to devote an entire day to your visit.
