Nov. 28 Near The Kensington: The Boston Volvo Thanksgiving Day 5K!
On Thanksgiving Day, you might start your feast by sharing what you’re most grateful for this year. And that could prompt you to think about those who might not have as much to be grateful for—which are exactly the people that the Boston Volvo Thanksgiving Day 5K benefits. The race helps to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an organization that funds research and provides support for those living with MS.
All you have to do to support this worthy cause is sign up for the Thanksgiving Day 5K (registration is $35+)—though you’re encouraged to spend a few weeks fundraising, too. Then come out to the Boston Volvo Village by 8:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, which is when the opening ceremony gets underway. The actual race starts at 9 a.m., sending runners and walkers all around Allston before looping back to the starting line.
